Camp Arroyo in Livermore, CA had more than 70 campers arrive for Camp Wonder 2013. The theme this year was Music and each night campers rocked to a different genre, Country, the Oldies, and the 80’s. The first night campers were treated to a concert from our Camp Wonder Band, played games, sat around the campfire and enjoyed Smores. As the week continued, so did the activities… boating at the Del Valle Reservoir, arts & crafts, talent night, swimming, baseball, riding horses and The Amazing Race game. This year we were fortunate to have a visit from the Livermore/Pleasanton Fire Department. Campers had a blast exploring the fire truck and shooting water from the fire hose… under the watchful eye of firemen. This year featured a special presentation for Vincent Tummino, a member of the Firefighters & EMS Foundation who, along with the National Police Defense Foundation, graciously sponsored all of our evening events, including Carnival Night, Magic Dan, Movie Night and Prom Night. We would like to give a special thanks to Leah’s Closet for donating prom dresses for all the girls. Leah’s Closet is located at 831 Main Street in Martinez, please stop by and mention CSDF and Camp Wonder!!
